Providing and referring clients to social and mental supports, nutrition and exercise, financial and mental support. We host different programs and events from Hope and Wellness, Hello! Spring and Steps of Hope to support for cancer patients and their families.
HOPE AND WELLNESS PROGRAM
Hope and Wellness is a 5-week program provided to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers to learn more about cancer, resources in the community, and peer support from others who share similar experiences. Each week, patient will attend a 3-hour seminar that provides activities and workshops on different topics such as cancer treatment, Taichi, stress management, art and crafts, nutrition, etc.
During the Tet festival, VACF hosts Đón Xuân (Hello, Spring) - an intimate event of support, fun, and entertainment for cancer patients, survivors, and their co-survivors (family, friends, and loved ones).
STEPS OF HOPE
VACF hosts the Annual Steps of Hope Benefit Dinner with community members and supporters to honor cancer survivors, loved ones, and individuals who stand in solidarity with people fighting cancer.
