OUR TEAM

Justine Vo
Justine graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Cellular and Developmental from California State University, Fullerton. She began to work in community health during her undergraduate. She is bilingual and has four years of experience working with the Vietnamese community in Orange County.

Kim Pham
MS
Kim has over 30 years of experience working in social services and the aging field. Since joining VACF in 2019, she has been guiding cancer patients and their families to appropriate resources, providing emotional support, and promoting community health wellness with her team.

MinhChau Pham MPH
Minhchau is passionate about empowering and educating the communities about disease prevention and health improvement by providing breast and cervical health education and patient navigation to promote early cancer detection participation. Her hobbies include watching sports and reality TV shows and exploring new cultures and culinary places around
the world.

Nerisse Matos
BSN-RN
Nerisse earned her B.S. degree in nursing from California State University of Long Beach. She is a licensed public health nurse who is passionate about health education and community advocacy. She has been with VACF for over 5 years and enjoys working directly with cancer patients and their families.

Becky Nguyen
MPA, MPH
Becky has a passion for working with the communities and has dedicated herself to serving the needy populations in Orange County for several decades. She is currently the Executive Director at the VACF. Under her leadership, VACF has been developing numerous collaborations with multi-ethnic community agencies, increasing community visibility in academia through community-based participatory research, advancing community health efforts to be more inclusive, and addressing health disparities by involving multi-disciplinary entities and sectors.

Dung Hua
MHA
Dung is passionate to fight for healthcare access in the community, which stems from her experience working with the underserved community since her college years, where she experienced first-hand the importance of health literacy and the impact of social determinants of health. Currently, she oversees all VACF’s program activities with her strong foundation in health sciences, health systems, monitoring, and evaluation. With over 15 years in community work and health programs, she is dedicated to supporting underserved individuals and families.

David Mai
David holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Despite having a degree in Business Management, he has 5 years of experience working in the medical field. Through the years, David found his passion for raising awareness about cancer in Orange County.

Dung Nguyen
Ms. Dung has been a dedicated volunteer at VACF since 2019. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, riding bike, gardening, and watching TV shows.

Duong Nguyen
Ms. Duong has been working with the Vietnamese community in Orange County since 2021. She enjoys directly working with cancer patients and providing emotional support for those in need.

Hailey Do
MPH
Hailey holds an MPH with a focus on gerontology and has a strong background in community education. She's passionate about health equity, in which everyone has a fair and just opportunity to attain their highest level of health. In her free time, Hailey enjoys spending time with her family, her pet dogs and fishes.

Jaimee Doan
Jaimee holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Science and has 11 years of experience working in primary care clinics mainly serving Vietnamese families before her years working at VACF. She is bilingual, familiar with the in-language medical terms and Vietnamese culture.

Josie Tran
Josie has 5 years of working with the Vietnamese community in Orange County. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her love ones.

Quy Le
Quy holds a B.S. degree in Public Health from California State University, Fullerton. She is interested in working with people from different backgrounds as she can share and learn about other people's cultures. She is also bilingual in English and Vietnamese. She enjoys crocheting during her free time.

Quynh Do
Quynh graduated from UCSB with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She is bilingual and enjoys working along side her church for 9 years to help the community. She plans to continue with schooling toward a Doctorate in Sociology.

Veronica Valenzuela
Veronica was born and raised in El Salvador and immigrated to the United States in the 90s. Mrs. Valenzuela is bilingual and is passionate about helping and empowering others. She enjoys spending time with her family, trying new food spots, and watching sports.

Xally Varela
Xally obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at California State University, Chico. During her undergraduate studies, she began working in community health. Ms. Varela is bilingual and assists the Spanish-speaking community to connect to services, programs, and resources. Her focus is on promoting overall well-being to create stronger, healthier communities.
